People don't like change.

During my 20+ years in the field of personal growth and transformation, it's quite evident that people don’t like change
It’s a common fact. People do not like change. Humans are creatures of habit, and they stick to familiarity, comfort, safety, stability and certainty. It's a rigid, fixed reality for them.
Yet change is the only constant.
Nature shows us each day that life is about cycles, which is evidenced by the seasons. Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
In Spring, we are sowing seeds, and are gently stirring from hibernation. In Summer, we are nurturing our seeds and giving them the attention they need. In Autumn, we receive the harvest of what we have sown, and in Winter, we slow down to reflect, release and recharge from the activity of the past 9 months. In this season, we connect more deeply with ourselves.
Fear of change.
People are often stuck in or locked into cyclical patterns that are familiar. Some people don’t even know they are stuck in a pattern, as their lives are a continuous stream of robotic actions.
And these are sometimes the people who are often complaining about the world, or are victims of their unconscious conditioning and patterns, and do not move out of their comfort zone.
For some people, the fear of change may be linked to a health condition; others are too scared of letting go and embracing change.
The possibility of something beyond their certainty can be quite disruptive to their nervous system, daily habits and behaviours.
Change through crisis.
Some people only change during a crisis.
Look at the world around us, during lockdown, people connected with their neighbours and shared food, or ran errands for the elderly or sick. In some cases, this continued, and it has been wonderful to see how people responded to what was missing in their community and created a safe space for those who needed it.
For some, it's the end of a job, relationship or project.
Yet many people are unaware of what is right in front of their noses.
Sometimes, a person only notices something is out of alignment in their body, when they are sick. And too often, they grab a pill and force their body to get better. But what is their body telling them? Do they notice? Probably not.
And as the old world continues to break apart - because it needs to change – people react to what is revealed, and to the injustices, which are in some cases horrific. But once the noise has died down, they return to their familiar.
If we continue to repeat familiar patterns, we will continue to see the same old, same old.
Yet through my personal experience, true change begins within.
Freedom.
We were not born to exist in small and mediocre cages; we were born to thrive and expand as nature does.
If we don’t change, what legacies are we leaving for our future generations? Our ancestors fought for our freedom, and millions upon millions died to fight for us.
But what has changed? Today, there is more war, famine, devastation, corruption, control, fear and suffering. And people go along with the narrative they are fed through the media.
Internal change.
Sometimes, the fight isn’t outside; it’s the internal fight for the injustices and wrongdoings that we have long endured, that prevent us from what we know we are here to do and be.
And by remaining stuck, we are not growing and evolving into our multidimensional selves.
When we change, everything around us changes. We are the masters of our reality, and the universe responds to what is true and aligned for us, in resonance with our frequency and path. When we align with our light and share our gifts with the world from the truth of us, instead of the wounding and suffering of others, true change happens.
The heaviness of the past needs to be dropped so that we can embody and expand the light within us.
